Attendees will complete the course with all of the knowledge they need to get hands-on with real Android application testing and take their skills even further on their own. The workshop is not about demoing the tooling and magic but to teach participants the actual use of the hackers' tools (like Frida) to achieve testing results.

The fully virtual, live and hands-on boutique course with a veteran mobile security expert aims to arm security champions, engineers, testers and junior pentesters with the skills, knowledge and battle-proven techniques necessary to exploit and test Android apps. We cover unique platform features and security services that make developers' lives easier — and create new difficulties for hackers.
Learners get a quick start on analyzing Android apps both statically and using an emulator or physical device. By noon of day one the group learns adding Frida and Burp to the tooling arsenal. We discuss Google's philosophy on security, consequent approaches to security mechanisms, developer choices and associated risks.
The number of students is 5-10. The course-work is guided by a detailed workbook.
